I might be misled by snobbery, but I tend to give the New Yorker review the most credit in terms of overall context to judge the books fairly. Also I'll confess that I have a very different point of view on politics and culture from Stan Guthrie, http://www.stanguthrie.com/ although he seems like he might be a very likeable guy.
